Samsung to Unveil Fold 7, Flip 7 and More on July 9 Event

Samsung is preparing to host its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025, where the company is likely to unveil its next-generation foldable devices. According to industry insiders, the event will feature the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Buds Core, Galaxy Watch 8, and possibly a budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.

Pre-launch leaks suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be Samsung’s most compact foldable to date. Images shared on online forums including Reddit and South Korea’s DogDrip point to a reengineered hinge and a thinner build, with thickness ranging from 3.9mm (unfolded) to 8.9mm (folded).

Reports indicate a triple-lens rear camera setup with a repositioned LED flash. A key upgrade may be the inclusion of a 200MP main sensor, signaling a major enhancement in photography.

The device is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite chipset and a 4,400mAh battery. Storage options could include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, coupled with up to 16GB RAM on high-end models. Color variants may include Coral Red, Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Silver Shadow.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 may bring a larger 4-inch cover display, up from the 3.4-inch panel on the previous model. The internal screen is rumored to stretch to 6.85 inches, aided by thinner bezels.

The Flip 7 is expected to run on either the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite or Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2500 chipset, depending on region. Memory configurations could reach up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, alongside a 4,300mAh battery.

Camera hardware is tipped to include a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP selfie camera. Color choices may include Midnight Black, Blue Shadow, and Classic White.

Samsung is also rumored to reveal the Galaxy Watch 8 with software and health tracking updates, as well as the Galaxy Buds Core. Another possible addition is the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, targeted at users seeking foldables at a more affordable price point.
